10/07/2007 Carmen L. Barruel, a familiar face at Carmel Temple, has collaborated with Carmel for years with happy enthusiasm. Born in Chile, Carmen lived and worked in Houston for over 20 years. She is an award-wining Silva Method Lecturer who studied with the late Jose Silva, the founder of the successful mind development method known and used by millions of people around the world. She conducted classes in English and in Spanish while in the Houston area since 1997. She now resides in Belgium where she devotes her time to painting, studying languages and sharing her knowledge with others of the mental skills taught by Dr. Silva. Her talk at the 11 am service this date will be: When Our Faith is Tested. It will be followed by a workshop with questions and answers.

She conducted classes in English as well as in Spanish while in the Houston area since 1997. She now resides in Belgium but will be returning permanately to the Houston area. Always on the go, with a passion, she devotes her time between painting and her true love, which is sharing her knowledge with others of the magical mental skills taught by Dr. Silva. Her talk at the 11:00 AM service will be about how to help your belief system work in your favor instead of against you. Carmen’s workshop at 1:00 PM will focus on techniques that can put these principles into practice.
