Dr. Marlene Goldenhersh Bricker

03-03-2002: Dr. Marlene Goldenhersh Bricker returns to Carmel with a mission—producing and directing Carmel’s first participation in the National Gandhi and King A Season of Nonviolence observance. A Season of Nonviolence is considered “Compassionate Activism for Global Healing,” another cog in the wheel rolling forward to World Peace. Marlene flies in from St. Louis to attend this peace rally. Besides being our Guest Speaker for today, she will be conducting four meetings. The first is the 11:00 AM service and the second is a workshop at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary. Her topic will be “Rainbow World” at 11:00 AM, and “Creating a Rainbow World” at 1:00 PM. Her third meeting is the Peace Rally at 7:00 PM, and the fourth, another workshop on Monday at 7:00 PM. The Monday workshop topic will be “Creating a More Cohesive Community.”

Marlene is an accomplished artist, poet, and lecturer, with most of her work focusing on teaching and writing books on character education for schools. One of her pet projects was the creation of 17 tiny metaphysical books and greeting cards that convey the power of love and peace. All are illustrated with her clever art work. She provides valuable tools to convey the message of love. Marlene will be attending the Peace Rally at 7:00 PM tonight and she relates “The Peace Rally, with all of its musical scores, has numerous songs that were especially written for tonight’s event.” See you tonight for an entertaining, purposeful evening.
