President of the Lone Star chapter of The American Dowsing Association comes to Carmel to share more knowledge about Dowsing. When discussing how magical dowsing is, Gail relates, “Dowsing is in my blood. My father taught me that dowsing is one of the oldest known techniques for truth.” Looking back thousands of years, paintings on cave walls depicted dowsers locating underground water with forked sticks. There are indications that Moses of the Bible was a “Water Diviner. Egyptian hieroglyphics often replicated images of individuals walking with a forked stick before them. Dowsing is a incredible practice that is easy to learn and a person does not need to have any particular abilities, only the desire. When dowsing one increases their psychic abilities—many times one will know the answer before the instrument begins to move as you are focusing totally on the moment, Finding lost people, items, pets, locating underground water pipes, underground oil reserves-the possibilities are endless.
The art of dowsing survived through the middle ages in Europe in spite of condemnations by the church and has enjoyed a strong resurgence today, especially with the new age movement.
