Cecile Decuir Eatherly

03-15-98: Cecile’s professional career began in California and Texas, where she taught on all levels of elementary and middle schools. She is also proficient in administration, where she has acted as a consultant to area administrators on all aspects of organizational training and personnel recruitment. Being a Certified Toastmaster of Toastmasters International, Cecile has won many speech competitions, and in 1986, was chosen as an honoree by The Federation of Houston Professional Women. In addition, her talents have included a fifteen year experience as a Dominican Nun; a Realtor; a professional fund raiser and artist, with practical applications in today’s high tech society. Speaking previously at Carmel, Cecile’s discussion today will focus on “How to Remain in a Positive Space When Surrounded in Negativity”.

06-01-97: Cecile’s career began as an educator, where she has taught on all levels of elementary and junior high schools in Texas and California. As an administrator, she acted as a consultant to area administrators regarding organizational training, human resource development, and personnel recruitment. Being a Certified Toastmaster of Toastmasters International, she has won many speech competitions. In 1986 she was chosen as an honoree by the Federation of Houston Professional Women, and has lectured coast-to-coast for the past 15 years. With her experiences as a Dominican Nun, combined with her spiritual quest, Cecile brings to Carmel a unique mix of professionalism, religion, and a down-to-earth approach to dealing with life’s everyday challenges.
