June 25, 2006 Victor Escalante grew up in Mexico as a Catholic boy until the age of 10. His family emigrated to the Texas Hill country where he immersed himself in the culture and language of his new home. Since he had a hunger for spirituality at a young age he studied the teachings of Herbert Armstrong through correspondence and radio sermons. At age 17 he was recruited into Jehovah's Witnesses where he remained for two decades. Studying Neuro Linguistic Programming would be the start and the end of his evolvement with the Witnesses. He was excommunicated by the church and labeled a regional threat while he healed many that sought him out, some on the verge of suicide. For the next decade he would study, and research many paths and many teachings in his personal quest to find God and to experience healing of mind, heart, and soul. Victor now lives in Pasadena Texas and is a master teacher and healer using an eclectic approach to heal, teach, guide individuals, agencies and organizations. He has been a keynote speaker at the International Conference of Near Death Studies sharing his experience of working with Near Death Survivors. His Topic is on "The barriers that keep us from Be-ing and how to overcome them ." Carmel welcomes Victor as Guest Speaker and a previous co-facilitator of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) ,a on going study group meeting each Tuesday evening at Carmel Annex.
