07-12-98: Robert (Bobby) Hartman comes to Carmel with another message of how spirituality as a daily guide, along with a life of service, can and will lead one to peace and abundance. Moving to Houston from Louisiana in 1983, to manage the City of Houston’s takeover of the former Ellington AFB, Bob spent the next 12 years as Director of Aviation at Ellington. Previously having a widely diversified exposure to the hectic business world, with activities ranging from building homes to aircraft carriers, to working on the ice cap in Greenland on the Detection and Early Warning radar sites (DEWLINE), Bob has experienced life at its fullest. He applies the 12-step way of life (as in AA, CODA, and ACA), one day at a time. Bob is self-employed in the energy conversation field, active in Habitat for Humanity, and on the Board of Directors for the YMCA. He again empathizes that by “living a life of service, one can be led to that sometimes elusive peace and prosperity”. No stranger to Carmel, this will be Bobby’s (as he is affectionately called) first time speaking here, and hopefully the first of many.
