11-29-98: The Ishaya Monks are here today at Carmel Temple. “Ishaya” comes from the Sanskrit root “Isha”, which means Christ. “Ishaya”means “For Christ Consciousness”. Ancient teachings preserved undistorted for nearly 2,000 years are being rediscovered by many as tools to use to assist in achieving states of higher consciousness. The Ishayas are an ancient order of monks with the mission to protect Christ's True Teachings until the dawn of the third millennium. The Ishaya’s do not preach any belief system or religion and have no guru. They do teach a series of simple, nonsectarian techniques that can lead one to experience a peace that passes all understanding. The talk today will be on “Enlightenment”, with an introductory workshop after lunch, at 1:00. For more information on the Ishayas, see their web site at The Ishayas’ Ascension Web Site (www.ishaya.com).
