08-02-98: Darleen James is a professional singer/actress who has performed for over seventeen years with The Houston Grand Opera and will be in four productions this season. No stranger to opera, Darlene has performed all over the world, including Theater Under the Stars and Opera In The Heights, both here in Houston;Opera Omaha; The International Institute for the Vocal Arts in Chiari, Italy, and numerous churches and oratorio societies here and in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.  Continuing as a soloist with major companies around the world, she still finds the time to be a dedicated teacher as well, and finds that mission to be among one of the most exciting on her path. Darlene began her spiritual quest many years ago, and it has taken her over many miles. Today she will share her “Journey of Faith” through word and song.
