06-27-1999: Rev. Jean LeFevre is Minister/Leader of all the American and Japanese chapters of The Church of The White Eagle Lodge, and is a certified teacher with the Seneca Indian Historical Society. The Mother Lodge of The Church of The White Eagle was founded in 1936 and is based in England. Jean explains: “The white eagle is a symbol for the soul of either man or woman flying like a bird towards God”. Her Montgomery County chapter, on the outskirts of Houston, is locally known as St. John’s Retreat Center. Located on 76 acres of beautiful land with tall, majestic pine trees, the Center is a state licensed sanctuary and rehabilitation place for many animals, including endangered species.
