Aug 5, 2007 - Dion Mclnnis uses words and images inspired by listening to women's stories, father's stories, and a variety of other topics. He helps to bring the view of man-poet-photographer to reality. Dion has taken some incredible night-time photos of Carmel's Labyrinth which can be seen on Carmel's website. He founded Her Legacies Foundation, which is dedicated to preserving and celebrating women's stories and the images they inspire. He was cited as "Man Who Champions Women" by NM Woman Magazine. He received the "Caring Heart Award" from Bay Area Turning Point shelter for workshops for victims of abuse. A graduate of the University of Houston, he is now an administrator at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He is also the author of Listen to Life: Wisdom In Life's Stories. His workshop at 1:00 P.M. will be “beautiful because she breathes".

He is a published columnist of women’s stories and of nonfiction, fiction, and photography. A graduate of the University of Houston, he is now an administrator at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. His topic for today: “Discovering and Polishing The Pearls Within.” He will be presenting a writer’s workshop at 1:00 P.M. on the same topic. The focus on the workshop will be on how you can tap into your own artistic and creative expression. We warmly welcome Dion’s second visit to Carmel as Guest Speaker.
