04-11-99: Born in Emporia, Kansas and completing her residency at Baylor-Texas Medical Center in Houston, Dr. Dorothy F. Merritt, M.D., has become a true Texan. Establishing her practice in Texas City, Texas in 1987, she has been on the cutting edge of alternative treatment of disease and conditions. Specializing in primary, preventive, and palliative care, Dr. Merritt has accomplished what many would consider miracles in the treatment of her patients. Overcoming many obstacles often encountered by some progressive members of the established medical profession, she successfully treats many of Houston's Bay Area populace with her alternative approaches to successful health care.
