04-25-2004: Tom Miller and Bill Nelson, both making the quest for worldwide peace a major factor in their lives, will present here today their mission for peace. One of their vehicles is The Unity Peace Makers, which meets regularly at the Unity Church of Christianity, known locally as “The Pyramid”, Unity Drive, Houston. One of their more recent efforts was “A Prayer Vigil For Peace and Nonviolence”, which is held annually at the Rothko Chapel, 3900 Yupon, Houston. Carmel was invited to participate for the second time this year, along with twelve other faiths from different spiritual paths, presenting a variety of prayers and meditations for World Peace. Both Tom and Bill express that their involvement with this movement has profoundly changed their lives. They will share with Carmel’s audience how this all came about and how it has influenced so many in these troubling times.
