Roseanne Sands

07-13-2003: Roseanne Sands has been on a conscious Spiritual quest for the past 35 years. As a young adult she became interested in Eastern Philosophy and, in 1973, she joined a contemporary, ecumenical, family religious order named The Order Ecumenical. For 12 years she worked with her family, living in many different locations, under global assignment. Roseanne worked at the grass roots level in many communities, international as well as national, with the local people, creating pre-schools, small businesses, having community beautification workdays, leadership training, town meetings, and many more activities. This August Roseanne will be joining her teacher, Chandra Joshi, along with a group, for the Kumbha Mela (a gathering of holy people in India). Roseanne has a regular practice of meditation, and she and her husband, Blase, have moved to a 10-acre plot in Brenham, TX, where they’ve created the Holy Mountain Retreat Center. She and her husband give several small retreats a year. Roseanne is also Publisher/Editor of Emerging Lifestyles Magazine, a quarterly, holistic publication. Roseanne will be speaking Sunday on “Turning Toward the Sacred in Family and Community.”
