Penelope Williams, R.N.

June 24, 2007  PENELOPE WILLIAMS, RN, BSN, M.ED, Ed.D. Dr. Penelope Williams has been a Registered Nurse for 29 years. Her practice includes Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery, PACU, Endoscopy, ICU, Home Health and Maternal Newborn. She has worked as a staff nurse and as a Nurse Manager in these areas. She has been involved as a nurse educator at Houston Community College System in Houston, Texas for the past 16 years.
Through her family ties Dr. Williams learned concepts of spirituality and metaphysics.  This has impacted her personal and professional beliefs and allowed her to care for the sick and dying patients with more understanding and compassion. She continues to broaden both her professional education as well as her spiritual education in an effort to conduct life in a more harmonious manner. Dr. Williams speaks at 11:AM today as a tribute to Gary Austgen and how he impacted impacted our lives.

10-31-2004: Penelope Williams, R.N., is accomplishing the difficult task of linking the spiritual aspects of healthcare with the traditional medical community. With 23 years as a Registered Nurse, her numerous credentials include degrees from Baylor College of Medicine, University of Texas Medical Branch, Youngstown State University, and University of Houston. With her determination and limitless energy, Penny is a powerful influence in the medical community. Brought up in a spiritual family, she learned at an early age that God was not to be associated with fear, but provides the source of all love and guidance. The power of God and faith together is the basis of all healing. Penny is studying for her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in Gifted and Talented Education. Her topic today is “Spirituality and Science.”
